The idyllic three-country-corner of Baden, France and Switzerland is home to indulgence and joie de vivre. There, at the foot of the Kaiserstuhl, a small volcanic mountain range, lies the old wine-growing town of Bötzingen. And right in the middle is the “Krone” – Your starting point for memorable days in the sunniest region of Germany!
More than 300 years old but more modern than ever: The Hotel-Restaurant “zur Krone” offers plenty of space for experiences and indulgence:
- Restaurant (80 seats)
- Tiffany-Hall with conservatory (80 seats)
- Kleines Stüble (“small snuggery”)
- Großer Saal (hall, 60 seats)
- Steyert-Stüble (snuggery with hand-crafted carvings)
- Rustic, old vaulted cellar with wine bar (40 seats)
- Gartenwirtschaft (beer garden, 40 seats)
The “Gasthaus zur Krone” is one of the oldest inns in Bötzingen. In 1928 it was acquired by a family for the first time and was run by the Fischer family together with a butcher’s shop. In 1971 it became the property of the following generation. Since then it has been altered step by step, renovated carefully and extended generously. Thus over the years a hotel restaurant was created where you can really feel at home and which offers something for everyone’s “taste”. At the beginning of 2010 the Messerschmidt family took over the inn and has been running it since then as the Hotel-Restaurant “zur Krone”.
In October 2012 we were awarded three stars according to the guidelines of the German hotel classification
